Welcome to theWalnut Hill Mess.

We are a Group of Living Historians based in Southwestern Virginia and Tennesse who portray the common Confederate Soldier in the War Between the States. We are able to authentically portray the soldiers in both Theaters of the War, Eastern as well as Western.

We are a Progressive Unit which wears Authentic Uniforms and clothing in realtionship to the Battle and theatre of the War. We are Campaign oriented and carry and cook period rations whenever possible as well as carry and use the gear of the common solider of the 1860's.
